​Stefan Mihalache (born June 9, 1982, in Bucharest, Romania), better known by his stage name Connect-R is a awesome Romanian hip hop and pop musician, producer and occasional actor, best known for his association with Romanian hip hop group R.A.C.L.A. early in his career and the successful solo career that followed his leaving of the group.

He has been noted as having a baritone-range singing voice and his eclectic musical style.

Early life

Mihalache was born in mid-1982 in Bucharest and, by the age of 8, was already working as a professional dancer as a member of the "Primavara" (Spring) dance group. By the age of 15, he had already become involved with hip hop music and in 1997 recorded "Observ" (I Observe) the first track in his professional career.​

His debut in the Romanian hip-hop was in 1997, when he started Giganzii (with bull-dog). His first song was called "Observ" in 1998 and after that he launched "Operatie pe suflet deschis" which reached the 2nd place on Radio Contact TOP 50. He was with RACLA on 2 albums and since he's been concentrating on a solo career. In 2006 he represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest with Arsenium and Natalia Gordienco in Athens, Greece.
